TRAVELING KNITS
1 3/4 cup flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup strong coffee (or 2 tsp. instant coffee and 1 cup boiling water)
1 cup buttermilk or sour milk (1 tsp. vinegar and 1 cup milk)
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp. vanilla
Combine 1st 6 ingredients, add eggs, coffee, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour into greased 9 x 13 or 2 9” round cake pans.
Bake at 320˚ for 35 – 40 minutes.
