TRAVELING KNITS

Brownie Pudding

1 cup flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cocoa

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons shortening or oil

1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

 

Combine all ingredients, batter will be thick, spread in bottom of 8 x 8 inch pan, no need to grease pan.

Combine 6 tablespoons cocoa and 1 cup brown sugar and sprinkle over batter.

Then pour 1 3/4 cups hot water over the top.

Honest, it works!

Bake at 350˚ oven for 45 minutes.

When serving, invert piece onto plate and sauce will then be on top of brownie.  Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
